For the second half of class, you'll be
creating a children's story in different formats.
Here's a schedule of what we'll do and
when.
• Wednesday, Nov. 6: Discuss
stories and morals in class. List several on the board.
• Monday, Nov. 11: E-mail me
what your moral is and a brief proposal for your story.
• Wednesday, Nov. 13: We'll
discuss in class.
That week: Write the text of
your story as a narrative. I'll hand out more specific instructions
for it during class and post them on the blog. You don't have to
send it to me that Monday, but bring a print-out of it
(double-spaced) to the next class.
• Wednesday, Nov. 20: Give to
classmate for review, revisions and suggestions.
That week: Revise it and then
send it to me by Monday, Nov. 25.
...THANKSGIVING BREAK...
• Wednesday, Dec. 4: We'll
discuss the stories in class.
That week: Read handout:
Chapter 9 & 10 in 'Writing for Television, Radio, and New Media.'
That week: Adapt
your story into a television script, with appropriate formatting and
visuals.
Please e-mail it to me by Monday,
Dec. 9.
• Wednesday, Dec. 11: We'll
discuss in class.
